Second Baleraöst split to come out this year, this time with Seagulls Fucking Seagulls, which is the project of the infamous Pory Nog. A few minutes of harsh noise from both camps will cause either a headache or satisfaction.

I don't know what happened to this band. They used to play all the time, and then they just disappeared. But here's some female fronted metallic hardcore. Two minutes of feedback introduce the tape, and then the heaviness begins.

Amps For Christ - The People At Large

I've listened to this band for years and still don't know how to describe it to people. It covers genres across the board from noise to gypsy folk to instrumental island music? What the fuck. And I don't know if they are actually a christian band. I really don't know anything. The dude from Man Is The Bastard is in it but that really doesn't matter, does it? Give it a shot, it's pretty cool.

TFFNI - Cloud Formations

TFFNI provide us with a landscape of noise with occasional white wash outbursts and shit that sounds like it belongs in a hospital beeping on as you look at this beautiful picture of someone driving north on 309 while looking at the big flashlight-shaped water tower.

Battletorn / Double Negative

Battletorn rip through three evil sounding bangers in less than two minutes and thirty seconds. Their sound reminds me of a mix between fast hardcore and Venom. Double Negative reference the Simpsons and present their standard hardcore attack with snark vocals. Is that the right word? Whatever.

Insect Warfare / Carcass Grinder

Insect Warfare was from Texas and they were one of the best grind bands to ever exist. Now they are dead, just like the majority of other good things. Carcass Grinder is from Japan and they are still together as far as I know. I don't know much about them but they're a good listen. Death to false grind.

They played five shows and then broke up. It was really fun. Good things never last. They had more songs but never got a chance to record them. I might as well just kill myself...

Blight

I just woke up and thought, "I should start my day by listening to Blight". And now dear friends, I pass this opportunity on to you. Blight put out this solitary 7" on Touch & Go in the early 80's. It's some noise punk madness with Tesco Vee from the Meatmen. He even has a trumpet. Perfect soundtrack to having bronchitis. The dream was dead.
